Worksop: Walker marches through in two doubles competitions at Commonwealth Games
Walker, who already has a silver medal from the men’s team competition, and partner Dan Reed survived a brief scare against the Ghanaian pair of Samuel Akayade/Emmanuel Commey to win 3-1 in the second round of the men’s competition.
After going 2-0 up, Walker/Reed dropped the third game but won the fourth 11-9 to go through,

Hide AdIn the mixed event, Walker and partner Karina Le Fevre produced a superb performance to come from behind and beat the seeded Indian pairing of Soumjakit Goush/Poulomi Ghatak 3-2.
The English pair are unseeded for the event, but began impressively in the second round with a 3-0 win over Mark-Anthony Dowell/Anthonette Riley of Barbados.
But they looked in trouble against the Indians after going 2-1 down with two games to play.
But a brilliant turnaround saw the English pair take the fourth game 11-1 and they then managed to keep their noses in front throughout the decider to go through.
