Retford: Bridon relishing the opportunity to eat at the top table once again
Bridon swept to the Bassetlaw League title last season to rubber-stamp their passport back to the Premier League after a few years away.
And captain Darren Spooner is looking forward to being back among the big guns.

Hide Ad“We are delighted to be back and promotion was just reward for the way the lads played last season,” he said.
“Obviously we’re under no illusions that things will be harder this year and the standard higher.”
“But we have a good team here and a good squad which we’ve added to and we’re relishing the challenge.”
“We know our first priority is to establish ourselves at this level again and hopefully we can be a surprise factor for several this year and stay under the radar for a while.”

Hide AdOrdsall have brought in Australian Kim Miles and opening bowler Aqab Ahmed, along with Martin Long and Gary Andrews over the winter to bolster both the batting and bowling.
Meanwhile, Retford host Everton in Division One of the Bassetlaw League looking to bounce back following relegation from the Championship.
“We can only do better because we were poor last year, but crucially, everyone has decided to stay with us and the young lads we have in the team have that bit more experience now,” said captain John Musgrove.
“We’ve also brought a few new lads in and the thing now will be confidence.”
“If we can get the confidence flowing again in the early games, we’ll be fine.”
