Hide AdGeoff’s team only just beat Marjorie Ward’s M3 team by a scoreline of 13-10, but it was enough to be the top team.
Jean Barnard’s team M9 just beat Peter Mays’ team M4 by 15-14 to stay in third but they will have to improve to stay there with Peter Taylor’s M10 team close behind with two games in hand.
At the bottom Peter Brumpton’s M12 newcomers are still without a point but they promisingly only lost 12-8 to Marjorie Ward’s M3 team.
The Wednesday Sets league (3 sets x 2pts) continues to be wide open with six teams in with a realistic championship chance.

Hide AdTom Dubber’s W3 team continue to lead narrowly thanks to a 5-1 (22 shots) win over Tony Scott’s W12 newcomers but previously they lost 4-2 (1 shot) to Barry Grocock’s W1 team.
Pat Flegg’s W4 team close up with a 6-0 (23 shots) win over Tony Scott’s W12 team and then only just beat Enid Underwood’s W6 team by 4-2 (2 shots).
Ken Walker’s W2 team similarly easily beat Peter Brumpton’s W11 team 6-0 (24 shots) but then just won 4-2 (1 shot) against Trevor Gaines’ W5 team.
Rita Proctor’s W8 team lost 4-2 (2 shots) to Trevor Gaines’ W5 team, but then they beat Peter Brumpton’s W11 newcomers 6-0 (19 shots) to be well placed in the league table with two games in hand on the leader.

Hide AdBarry Grocock’s W1 team and Trevor Gaines’ W5 team are also in with a good chance while there isn’t an obvious championship contender.
The bottom of the league is also competitive but Peter Taylor’s W7 late starters impressively beat Carol Booth’s W9 team by 6-0 (27 shots) to show that they don’t belong there.
