FOOTBALL: Lincs League round-up
Social media has been the vehicle for good wishes for Sleaford Sports Amateurs player Adam Smith following an injury he suffered in their cup defeat at home to Immingham Town.
Smith suffered a suspected broken leg during the tie at Eslaforde Park.

Hide AdOpponents Immingham were among those wishing him a speedy recovery on Twitter.
Town’s 4-1 victory earned them a quarter-final place at Skegness Town’s Vertigo Stadium next month.
Also through to the last eight are Nettleham, Hykeham Town and Grimsby Borough Reserves following Saturday’s games.
In the league, there was a win for Market Rasen Town at home to Harrowby United Reserves, while Louth Town and Brigg Town Reserves drew a blank at Marshlands.

Hide AdThere were goals galore at Mulsanne Park, where Nettleham eased their way into round three.
The game kicked off at a frantic pace and the Nettles found themselves 2-1 after just six minutes.
They extended their lead and at the break led by four goals to two.
Just after the restart the home side made it 5-2 and there were regular scores during this end to end thriller until the final whistle brought the curtain down.

Hide AdStriker Jack Higginson led the scoring for the Nettles. He finished with four in the bag, while Samuel Triffitt chipped with a brace and Gavin Mackie also found the back of the net.
For Sleaford Ronaldo Pereira scored twice, with one apiece from Eddie Davies, Sam Stokes and Thomas Bullimore.

This tie was marred by the serious injury to Adam Smith and wishes for his speedy recovery have been conveyed.
Immingham eased their way through to the quarter-finals with goals from Ben Cooke (2), Carl Price and Gary Nimmo.
Liam Tunstall scored the Sleaford consolation.

Sleaford Town Reserves are away at Brigg Town Reserves on Saturday, whilst Sleaford Sports Amateurs are at home to Immingham Town in the second round of the Lincs FA Junior Cup. Both games kick off at 2.15pm.
