Woolly day has visitors in a spin
The event in North Kyme Village Hall was organised by members of the newly formed South Lincolnshire Spinners and Weavers group to raise funds.
Activities on show included carding, spinning and weaving, woven items for sale and samples of fleeces and crafts. Interested visitors could have a go too.

We raised £278 which covered the rent of the superb hall and insurance to cover us to attend county shows and other events to demonstrate and sell items that we have made from Lincolnshire grown fleeces.”
The group has three sheep shearers who supply them with top quality fleeces.
The group is made up of around 30 members of the Lincolnshire Spinners and Weavers who decided they wanted to meet up somewhere closer to home, holding their first meeting on Saturday at Osbournby Village Hall. The next will be on April 30. Fees are on a monthly basis. They are already thinking of having another event with shearers and sheep in the summer. More detais on their Facebook page.
