Weather warning as strong winds and band of rain arrive
As we go into the evening and tonight it will turn wet and windy overnight across Northern Ireland and Scotland, as a band of persistent and occasionally heavy rain gradually moves southeastwards.
Staying dry elsewhere with clear spells, there will be isolated patches of mist and fog developing in the far south.

Hide AdOn Friday there will be persistent and sometimes heavy rain which will affect Northern Ireland, and southern Scotland before spreading into northwest England.
It will be largely dry with sunny spells elsewhere, and staying warm across the south. Breezy.
The outlook for Saturday to Monday is rain and strong winds which will clear southeastwards during Saturday, with brighter but cooler conditions following.
It will be mostly fine on Sunday, with isolated showers in the west. Turning unsettled again on Monday.
