Firefighters were called out from Sleaford last night (Tuesday) to a fire in a drain near the town's railway station.
The Sleaford crew arrived at around 6.30pm to find a small quantity of leaves in the drain had caught fire from a discarded cigarette.
A fire service spokesman said they used a hose to put out the flames.
