SLIDESHOW: Eastoft pupils get starry eyed
StarLincs is the only mobile planetarium based in Lincolnshire and takes an exciting visual display of the night sky into schools. The planetarium is a self-contained darkened classroom which encourages intensive study sessions without distraction. Every presentation is led by an experienced teacher. A spokesman said: “The planetarium ensures that children are given the opportunity to learn all about space in a fantastic, fun and educational environment.” School headteacher Rebecca Dixon said: “We organised for the StarLincs Planetarium to come into school to launch the topic of Neil Armstrong. The children got to experience space without leaving the classroom. They went on a star-gazing adventure where they learned about all of the patterns of the stars. It was fantastic and they thought it was absolutely amazing and really enjoyed it.” Pictured are some of the pupils enjoying the interactive scheme.
