Trio of challenges for Osgodby’s Nathaniel
Nathaniel Hodges, a pupil at Osgodby Primary School, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was just three years old.
The condition is one that can be a challenge to live with and requires a good deal of support.

She said: “Nathaniel has received lots of amazing support from the Sunflower Children’s Action Group - a team of wonderful volunteers who help children with life threatening and life limiting conditions.
“Due to Covid, the group have lost some of their funding streams and Nathaniel wanted to help.”
So kind-hearted Nathaniel set himself three challenges, which he managed to complete over the recent half-term holiday.

Then, as it was Halloween, he did a long-distance spooky run.
Finally, as both Nathaniel and his family are concerned about the declining number of hedgehogs, he made a number of hedgehog boxes for family and friends.
To date, Nathaniel’s efforts have raised £600 - but the money is still rolling in.
