A LEVEL RESULTS: Picture Gallery - De Aston's 6th form Gold Standard Success
The school’s students achieved a set of excellent results, including the highest grades of A and A* and a host of others who gained marvellous personal results in a range of academic and vocational qualifications.
Headteacher, Ellenor Beighton commended the “determination of the students and the growth mindset of the staff”.

“This is a set of results that demonstrates the school’s continued drive for success for every individual learner as part of our growth mindset philosophy.”
Year 13 students who gained the highest grades possible in A levels included Poppy Smith, with a stunning set of results including multiple A* grades.
Other standout performers included Alice Gains, Gabriel Clarkson and Ciara Dodd.

Hide AdIn addition, A* grades were achieved by Harriet Bibby, Jade Dowse, James Mayer, Paula Mobius, Laurie Shackleton and Jack Thompson.
In terms of subjects, there was gold star achievement in English Literature with five A* grades, the highest grade possible at A Level.
Head of English, Sarah Peacock, said: “These are the best in the school’s history.
“Having taught both English Literature A Level groups this year, I can say what a great bunch they all were.

There were also A* grades in Biology, Chemistry, German, Geography, Maths, Photography, Sociology and Extended Project.
In Applied courses there were an amazing number of Distinction Stars.
Stellar performances came from Mary Dean, Matilda Kombey and Beth Ward among others.
In Year 12, there were also great performances by Chloe Brack, Armand Keyworth and Megan Patterson among others.
