Help for mental illness available
I wouldn’t wish this illness on anyone. It takes control of your body and mind to the extent of taking ones own life, sad but true.
So my message to you out there is don’t be afraid or embarrassed, speak to your GP, tell him or her your problems without delay, which is what I did. Unfortunately, the doctor tried to get me out of the dreaded position by prescribing several anti-depressant tablets which never took the torturous agony away from my body, so eventually he suggested I should let him make an appointment to visit Bassetlaw Hospital to speak to a psychiatrist as these consultants were more an expert than himself on such matters. I was shocked and felt degraded by the doctors suggestion of me seeking help and advice on my health problem, the professional name psychiatrist alone frightened me due to the stigma related to this.

So to you many sufferers out there, seek help through your own GP and if he or she can’t prescribe a remedy ask them to make you an appointment to see the professionals at Bassetlaw Hospital. There’s no stigma to it now, they are there to help you. Good luck.
