Fun, fun, fun for Charter Day
Not even the grey skies could keep people away as hundreds of people made their way to Retford town centre to enjoy the many free attractions on offer.
The May Day event marks the granting of the town charter in 1246, and has become one of the biggest fixtures in the Bassetlaw calendar.

Juggling, a Punch and Judy show and fire-eating were among the attractions in Market Square, which was revamped by Bassetlaw Council last year.
Over at Kings’ Park the events included Lynx Black Belt Leadership Academy and Harworth Drummers, while the Knights in Battle display attracted huge crowds.
And the ever-popular Lions duck races once again proved to be a success.
