Dinnington: Man jailed for handling stolen goods

Paul Thomas Barnes (38), no fixed abode, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing.
He admitted handling items stolen during a burglary at a house in Palmers Way, Thurcroft on 30th September.

Hide AdBarnes was seen by officers on patrol in Thurcroft on 1st October with a rucksack and trolley containing the stolen items – a TV, safe, watches and coats.
He ran off from officers but was arrested three days later on 4th October.
Investigating officer PC Adam Broughton said: “The victim in this case was particularly vulnerable so I am satisfied Barnes pleaded guilty to his crime.
“South Yorkshire Police will do everything in its power to protect the vulnerable members of our community.”
