“The next is a huge thank you to our organiser, the incredible Sally Spink and her loyal army of volunteers and officials who give up so much of their precious time to make sure everything was ready, ran smoothly and left everyone happy and wanting to come back for more.”
After all the recent wet weather, it was a surprise that the going was listed as good to soft in places.
Horses and jockeys relished the new-look course which, although challenging, produced some thrilling racing.
Racegoers John and Sue Nicholson said: “We’ve travelled from Stamford and it was worth every mile. It was a brilliant day.”
