Nostalgia: Red cattle evening at Hemingby
Lincolnshire is home to one of the UK's oldest breeds of beef cattle.
The Lincoln Red is something for the county to be proud of and the Lincoln Red Society is a charitable organisation dedicated to
promoting and preserving this breed.
Back in 1979, society members and other guests attended an evening at the Hemingby farm of their president Michael Read and his father Frank Read.
There was time to inspect some of the young Lincoln Red bulls (above) before supper.
