Children overcome obstacles of home schooling

Headteacher at the Richmond School Caroline Wellsted is setting an 'Odd Job' challenge - with this week's being an obstacle course.
Joanne Hazard, of the Richmond School, said: "It's a fantastic way to help pupils have fun while creating something and feeling positive from their achievements.

Early Years Foundation Stage teacher Megan Tory said, “Two reception pupils built a brilliant obstacle course in their back garden and have done their daily exercise using it!”
"We are also setting a reading challenge every week for the whole school to take part in. This week the challenge is to read something of the child’s choice and then design a front cover for it!
"One of our reception pupils chose the book ‘When I Grow Up’ and drew herself as a ballerina and a firefighter as this is what she wants to be when she grows up."
