Working engines at open station event
The two stations are very close together, placed on opposite sides of the A153.
Dogdyke, open 1.30pm to 4pm, will be steaming its unique 1856 beam engine powering the impressive 24ft diameter wooden scoop wheel pump and also running will be the Lincoln built 40hp Ruston & Hornsby oil engine.

Hide AdJust along the river at Timberland, open 1pm to 4pm, is the large Lincoln built twin cylindrical Ruston & Hornsby oil engines of 1938, which will be in action, as well as the unique Ruston Buajrus 10RB Dragline that once kept the lines clear of silt and weeds.
This station is run by the Witham 3rd Internal Drainage Board who will be showing some of their current work.
Admission is free to either property.
There is also a small museum and tea room at Dogdyke.
