Celebrating silver service of Caistor’s long-time vicar
A small, informal presentation took place after one of the services, where gifts were handed to the Rev Canon Robinson on behalf of Caistor Church by church warden Val Waddington, who paid tribute to his service in the town and surrounding parishes.
Nick McCann, representing Caistor Church of England and Methodist Primary School, also made a presentation.

Hide AdThe Rev Canon Robinson came to Caistor from Scunthorpe, where he had served at a church in the Riddings area of the town.
He said: “When Christine and I came to Caistor, Grasby and Searby churches with our young family in 1995, we never imagined that we would still be here 25 years later– the family now grown up with families of their own.
“We have had some wonderful times here working amongst very special people and it has been, and still is, a pleasure and privilege to minister in the Caistor group.”
In addition to church services, together, the Rev Canon Robinson and his wife Christine have organised many extra events over the years to engage the whole Caistor community.

“It somehow seems more than we deserve to be so richly rewarded for doing something we love and enjoy!”.
