The following people have recently appeared before the courts in Worksop, Rotherham and Mansfield.

Assault

Brain Gormley, 31, of Aintree Ward, Rampton Hospital.

Assault by beating. Ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.

Luke Powell , 19, of Wisteria Lodge, Retford.

Assaulted woman. Community order made and required to take part in a Thinking Skills programme for 19 days. £60 victim surcharge.

Gary Rees , 50, of Kempton Ward, Retford Hospital.

Assault by beating. Ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

Edward Spacey , 25, of Spital Hill, Retford.

Assault by beating. Community order made and must have alcohol treatment. Ordered to pay £70 compensation, £60 victim surcharge and £300 costs.

Frieda Woodcock, 54, of The Grange, Retford.

Assault by beating. Committed to prison for 16 weeks and suspended for 12 months. Ordered to pay £250 compensation £100 in costs

Drink Driving

Stephen Spratt, 73, of Sherwood Crescent, Worksop.

Caught being over the limit whilst driving. Fined £110 ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 36 months.

Stephen Witts, 37, of Kingston Road, Worksop.

Caught being over the limit whilst driving. Fined £280 and £28 victim surchage and ordered to pay £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for three years.

Anthony Newman, 64, of Whyburn Lane, Notts.
