Market Rasen and Louth RFC were pipped 39-38 by high-flying Kettering in a pulsating game on Saturday.

A hat-trick from Dave Starling plus tries from John Norman, Jake Pryer and Ollie Cole ensured the Red and Greens picked up a try bonus point as well as a losing bonus point.

Rasen and Louth need just five points from their last two games to guarantee another season in Midlands One East.

They travel to Wellingborough on Saturday and bottom side Matlock seven days later.
