Medieval Royal visit to Sleaford remembered
Sleaford Museum hosted its first half-term activities day last Thursday - which proved to be a great success, according to organisers.
Outreach co-ordinator Mark Bamford said the drop in session allowed children to decorate shields and crowns to mark the demise of King John, who visited Sleaford just before his death, 800 years ago. He spent his last but one night at Sleaford Castle before being taken to Newark on October 15, 1216 to die.
Here we see some of the dressing up going on at the museum.
