A house in Gosberton was badly damaged in a fire caused by cooking left unattended, say Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service.

One occupant of the property in Westhorpe Road was checked over by ambulance crews as a precaution.

Crews from Donington, Spalding, Kirton and Holbeach attended the blaze early on Sunday morning.

There was fire damage to the kitchen, loft and roof of the property as a result of the fire.
