The fire service were called to a street in Metheringham yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) to a report that a bin was on fire.

A fire crew based in the village raced to the incident on Princes Street, which had been called in just before 2pm.

The contents of the wheelie bin were destroyed in the fire, which was quickly put out with a hose, according to the report by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service.
