Fire crews deal with van fire in Louth

Fire fighters tackled a van fire in Louth yesterday afternoon (Monday).

The incident occurred in Abbey Road, and it was reported to the emergency services at 1.19pm yesterday.

The Louth fire crews used a hose reel jet and a thermal image camera to extinguish the blaze.

The fire was cause when heat from the van's brakes ignited brake dust, and the vehicle's wheels suffered damage as a result.
