A 31-year-old man has been charged following two robberies in Boston, at the weekend.

Matthew Holland, of Jubilee Avenue, Boston, is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court, this morning (2 December).

He was charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

This followed incidents at the New Inn pub on Pen Street, on Saturday afternoon in which a machete was produced; and at the John Adams Service Station, in the early hours of Sunday morning, where a meat cleaver was reported to have been brandished.
